Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County ReStore

Each purchase helps make decent, affordable housing a reality for many deserving families in Monroe County.

Why Choose Us?

At Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County we build strength, stability, self-reliance and shelter--the only thing we give away is an opportunity. Our mission is to eliminate poverty housing by building decent, affordable homes in partnership with qualifying families.

Our work in Monroe County has a special urgency as 1 in 5 (22%) people live in poverty. Monroe County is the least affordable place to live in the state of Indiana. We build an average of 8-10 homes per year, for a total of 207 homes in Monroe County. The ReStore sponsors 1-3 homes per year for a total of 13 homes since 2013 - all because of your help.

So, why choose us? By giving these items a new home, you will help fund the cost to build your neighbor's home, while also diverting waste from landfills - and getting a great deal on your like-new items in the process!

About Us

By selling donated construction and home improvement items the ReStore achieves its mission to increase the number of Habitat homes built in partnership with families, to prevent usable items from being put in landfills and to provide quality building materials to the public at discount prices. Each purchase helps make decent, affordable housing a reality for many deserving families in Monroe County. For more information about our organization, please visit our website, btownrestore.org.
